About Mimi Lee

Mimi spent ten years working closely with the military as an overseas contractor. In 2011, she began her own yoga practice and found it changed her, physically and mentally, in ways she wanted to share with the military community around her.

When she returned stateside, she pursued formal teacher training, completing her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification (RYT-200) through The American Yoga Academy in 2019. She continues to expand her training and is currently working toward a 300-hour Therapeutic Yoga Teacher certification.

Mimi is a WAET-trained instructor and an iRest Level 1 Meditation Teacher. Her approach centers pranayama (breath work), movement, and mindfulness, with particular attention to serving diverse and underserved communities.

Teaching Style

Sessions are gentle, breath-led, and trauma-informed. Mimi works with students individually and in small groups, adjusting pace and instruction to the person in front of her rather than a fixed sequence.

Beyond the studio, Mimi brings her yoga and sound healing practice on the road as a retreat facilitator with Empowered Soul Retreats, leading movement, breathwork, and sound bath sessions for retreat groups traveling to destinations like Puerto Rico. It's an extension of the same work she does in Cameron: creating a grounded, judgment-free space for people to reconnect with their bodies and their breath.
